AMAZING GRACE much the best in Hamburger Stuten-Cup (LR)

AMAZING GRACE by PROTECTIONIST was the horse to beat in the feature race of the opening day at Hamburg's derby meeting, and the four-year-old delivered without question. Prepared by Waldemar Hickst for her breeder Dr. Christoph Berglar, the mare was piloted by Marco Casamento and who gave her perfect trip in the Listed level Stuten-Cup ($22,500) and called her to task after the final turn. The recently Gr.2-placed AMAZING GRACE shifted into a higher gear and drew clear with ease. After 2,200 metres she had put one and a half lengths between herself and the field to record her first win of the year.
