Benefiting from a ground saving trip along the inside rails, the colt by PROTECTIONIST kicked off well once he found a hole in the deep straight and showed plenty of heart in a thrilling finish that secured him his first win by a head advantage. The Gestuet Ebbesloh-bred LOTTERBOV, which is Colognian dialect translating to bugger in English, had Maxim Pecheur in the saddle for owner Holger Renz and trainer Markus Klug.
