Nine yearlings by PROTECTIONIST are making their way to Iffezheim this year for the BBAG yearling auction taking place on September 3. Two of the nine are fillies, the majority of seven are colts. Many top names of the German stud scene are responsible as vendors.
Gestüt Roettgen, the home base of the Monsun son, is consigning ALPENWIND (Lot 172), a son of the Group winner ANNA KATHARINA, half-sister of the current G3 Fürstenberg race winner ADRIAN. The stud also offers a brother (Lot 83) of the five-time Group winner MILLOWITSCH and another three Black Type performers out of the top mare MURIEL.
From Graditz Stud comes a dark bay filly (Lot 26), the first foal of a half-sister to both the G1 winner LUCKY LION and Listed winner LIPS EAGLE.
Lot 111 is a colt offered by Auenquelle Stud; his dam is a half-sister to Listed winner AL QUINTANA and the multiple Stakes-placed ALBERTVILLE.
Etzean Stud presents NOBLE KISS (Lot 197), a filly out of a sister of Listed winner NOBLE MUSIC and the Group-placed NOBLE HOUSE and NIYAMA, who herself is the dam of the Stakes-placed NONA. This is also the dam line of G1 winner NOBLE PESRL and G2 winner NOBLE STELLA.
The stud Am Schlossgarten offers two yearlings: Lot 138, KAYLAN, is a colt out of a full sister to KOFFI ANGEL, also sister to KOFFI LADY and KOFFI PRINCE. Entering the ring as Lot 117 is BALZAC, whose dam is a half-sister to G1 winner ASTAIRE, out of the very current family of the UK's 2020 older champion miler MOHAATHER.
Ronald Rauscher Bloodstock consigns two colts: Lot 135, ILMARI, is out of a half sister to Derby winner and current Derby winner sire ISFAHAN. This is also the top dam line of last year's Derby winner IN SWOOP. With PFINGSTBERG, a son PEACE OF PARADISE enters the ring as Lot 201. He comes from the successful family around PEACE ROYALE, PEACE IN MOTION, PEACEFUL LOVE and many more.
