Counting among the favorites for this year's G1 German Oaks, AMAZING GRACE by Protectionist made an appearance in today's €33,000 G3 Mehl-Mülhens-Trophy in the undercard to the 152nd running of the German Derby where the three-year-old filly, who is prepared by Waldemar Hickst for Dr. Christoph Berglar, cut a fine figure. From the get-go, AMAZING GRACE was stalking the leader and was taken to task in the final straight along the outer rails by her partner Théo Bachelot where she drew home gamely to book an excellent second place after 2200 metres.
