PROTECTIONIST's three-year-olds are really on a run now! Today, the Joseph O'Brien trained POWERFUL AGGIE powered to her first career win in four starts at Sligo racecourse in Ireland. Jockey Shane Crosse had the filly stalk the leader from the gates and, approaching the final turn, send her flying home with a powerful finish that gave her her maiden win by a length advantage.
POWERFUL AGGIE was one of the nine products from Protectionist's first crop of yearlings offered at the 2018 BBAG Yearling Sale. The filly was bred by Dr. Alexandra M. Renz out of the G3 winner Papagena Star.
